Amazing Facts

Rathakrishnan Velu broke the Guinness World Record on October 18 2003, when he succeeded in pulling a very heavy train for no less than 2.8 meters, with nothing but his teeth! He is not only courageous but also quite talented, even though his talent is out of the ordinary. The weight of the train was the largest one to be pulled by a man until then, no less than 260.8 tones, so he was a record settler!

The second time Rathakrishnan Velu broke the record for the “heaviest weight pulled with teeth” in the Guinness Record Book (this time he was beating his own record) was on August 30 2007, at Kuala Lumpur in his mother country. He pulled no less than 297.1 tones at that time, on a larger distance than the first time. This time Rathakrishnan Velu had 6 attached coaches.

To prepare for his number, Rathakrishnan Velu firsts closes his eyes, does breathing exercises by putting his left index finger on his nose and right index finger on his chest. When he feels prepared to begin, he sits on the ground and starts to pull the weights. His ability left the audience silent, as he really seems to have super strength in his jaws!
